The best Christmas gift EVER…

Ok, so this is just a little heart warming story and since it’s nearing the holidays I figured that I would share.

When I was young (no I’ll never tell you how old I am, so forget it!) my aunt and uncle would always come and visit, each time wielding a camera and ready to capture anything that my brother and I could come up with.

From climbing a tree, to riding in my little car, and yes, even the little sister kiss was captured, our Great Dane Deacon standing proudly in front of the igloo we had made in the snow. Anything, she would just fine away, year after year.

Well as luck would have it, one Christmas when I was older and more responsible I received a package from my Aunt. Inside I found that she had created albums, with a story for every picture and every page. I slowly examined each photograph and carefully read over the sentences that followed. I could remember each one with amazing clarity, and how much fun my brother and I had when she was there.

This was the best gift I have ever received, the most valued of all my possessions, completely irreplaceable. I can grab those books and look through each photograph and be pulled back into that place and that time, and just make me smile.

Yes, I’m planning on doing the same things for my four kids. They hate it when I chase them around with the camera. Ok, only my 9 year old does. But, when she’s in her twenties and I hand them over….. Man, she’s going to thank me then.

Who said you can't have a blast at a photo session?

Yes, it may help that the photographer (me) is, well, a nerd and likes to make you comfortable and get you laughing your patootie off.

The whole time I'm editing and doing all of my post work I'm laughing so hard that tears are running down my face. I LOVE MY JOB.... And my clients are the BEST!!!!

Little Mr. Daigle am Atlanta Children's Photography Session

Little Mr. Daigle and I had the pleasure of hanging out his weekend with his really cool parents, Mommy Daigle & Daddy Daigle as well as my husband and additional photographer E.J.

Little D and I played some games, Chase the Baby, don’t look at the photographer, where’s the fish, and last but not least, look intensely at the guy with the shiny baldhead. Thank goodness for E.J. my tattooed, shaved head, way more fun to observe than me, husband. And run from the snake(-:

Mommy Daigle, bless her hart, walked through the entire park, 7 some months pregnant. If it where me I would have made sure that we where no further than 100 yards from the restroom at any given time. Not good for interesting scenery but defiantly good for me.

• I've been tagged!

This is where I have to tell you eight facts about myself.

• 1- I have four children, ages 9, 6, 3, and 18 months so that means that I have been changing diapers for 9 years.... seriously my 9 year old got out of them at 3, same with the 6 year old ( you can do the math)

• 2- I don't watch scary movies, because I don't want to be afraid of the dark (my husband loves to tease me about this fact) ..."aw come on honey don't you want to watch saw III with me".....NO Way! ..........I'll be the one with the ear plugs hiding under the covers. I can't even have a regular shower curtain after that one movie (can’t remember the name) just the guy Norman Bates with the knife singing with the woman in the shower...eeek.eeek.eeek.eeek 

• 3- I can play a video game until I finish it (yes, sometimes in one sitting) and yes I am currently working on halo 3, and my video game addiction time limits. *ps* just finished Halo 3 record time 10 hrs. See told you!

• 4- I have a three tattoos (...ouch... ) one is my husbands initials, a moon, and a ring band. I want another; I just have to forget how much it hurts first.

• 5- I absolutely adore children (they have a way at looking at life, and when you watch them closely they will always teach you something new)

• 6- Once I make a friend I keep them for life.

• 7- I prayed once, OK more like a million times for patience ( then of course God tested me, and then gave it to me) I look back at when I was like 20 and look at myself now and I know that he has answered my prayer.

• 8- I am married to the greatest most supporting and loving guy in the world. (I prayed for him too) But if you know me then this is a fact that you are aware of, so I'll some more.

• 9- I know how to make, from scratch, giant ravioli’s and marinara ...mmmmmmmm......(I had them in Positano taly and just had to have them when I got back home)

• 10- I like to use power tools, operate heavy machinery & I can ride a Harley.
